Analogue stage box that uses the 4 wire pairs plus shield of a network cable instead of a 4-channel multicore to send 4 analogue signals from A to B.
By using a single Ethernet cable instead of four audio cables or DMX lighting cables, four channels of analog audio signals or AES digital audio signals can be transmitted by connecting a shielded Cat5 Ethernet cable between two transmission boxes. This feature allows audio signals to be transmitted from one location in a building to another using existing Cat 5 or Cat 6 cable infrastructure, or over long distances using inexpensive and lightweight network cables, saving costs and making wiring much easier. The box can transmit lighting signals in addition to audio signals.
